WATR Fall Trail Ride

Riders Meeting 9:30am

Ride Starts 10:00am

Last bike starts long loop: 3:00pm

Where:

Eagle Bay, 7800 Fitzhugh Lane, King George VA, near Fredericksburg

Eagle Bay is a private riding area. Your donation allows you to ride on the day of the event only.

Admission:

Adults: $35 if you preregister, $40 at the gate

Under 18: $20

Cash/Check Only at the gate.

All proceeds benefit the King George Optimist Club.

No On Site Food Service - Bring Your Own Lunch

Additional Info:

Youth under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, with signed youth waiver. If both parents are not at the event, the absent parent’s signature must be notarized. Youth Waiver available at https://americanmotorcyclist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/AMA-Minor-Recreation_Notary.pdf

Loops for novice and advanced riders. 2, 7.5 & 13 mile loops, with no road crossings. Some easy, some technical, good for anyone with some trail experience. Plus a half mile Pee-Wee grass track!

The only awards will be for PeeWee loop riders, based on most consistent lap times.

Protective riding gear required: helmet, eye protection, sturdy boots, long pants/sleeves, gloves.

Tags not required, but bike must be quiet (96db at 20 inches) and equipped with a USFS spark arrestor.

Eagle Bay is a residential area. The 96db standard will be enforced via selective sound checks at entrances to trails. Egregious violations go back on the truck/trailer. Consider prior use of smartphone sound meter app.

Primitive camping is available. Please arrive prior to 10:00 PM Saturday. No fires, no generators after 10pm.

No bike engines running prior to 9am Sunday.

All club members, riders, and spectators - sign AMA waiver at entrance to the parking area.

18 miles East of Interstate 95 Exit 133

From Interstate 95: Exit 133, East on Route 17 towards Falmouth. Go 2 miles, continue straight across US Route 1 onto Route 218. Go 15 miles, left on Route 642 (Eagles Nest Lane). Go 0.6 miles, left on Fitzhugh Lane.

From Route 301 Traveling North into Dahlgren, VA: Left (west) on Route 206 in Dahlgren, VA. Travel 2.7 mi 18. Go 4.4 miles, right on Route 642 (Eagles Nest Lane). Go 0.6 left on Fitzhugh Lane.
