This is an AMA-sanctioned recreational event for dual sport and adventure bikes. It is a 500 km (310 mi) two day event and has different routes for dual sport bikes and adventure (ADV) bikes. Proceeds are donated to local charities.

Event Location:

Natural Chimneys Campground (all activities and riders meeting)

Details:

  • The event is two days, Sat Oct 2 and Sun Oct 3 (see below for full schedule). One ticket is good for both days. Tickets are not available for individual days.
  • Included in the ticket price is lunch (both days) and a t-shirt (specify size when registering). Breakfast and dinner are not provided.
  • You may arrive on Friday to check-in and have your bike inspected.
  • There are two routes: Dual Sport and ADV.
  • The Dual Sport course will be navigated with maps and paper roll charts. The course has a variety of terrain - dirt, gravel, paved, single track, etc.
  • GPS tracks WILL NOT be provided for the Dual Sport course. We do not provide GPS routes because they are problematic for off-road, non-direct navigation.
  • For DS riders, course maps and route sheets (scrolls) will be provided at the event. We will provide a short class on how to navigate with a roll chart but you must have a roll chart holder to use the roll chart.
  • The ADV course must be navigated by GPS. The ADV course has a combination of gravel, paved, and forest roads.
  • If your GPS can't handle tracks you won't be able to navigate the ADV course with the files we provide.
  • There is no sweep or other support on the ADV course. ADV riders should be 100% self-sufficient.
  • It is HIGHLY DISCOURAGED to ride either course on your own, but especially the ADV course.
  • Don't count on cell phone coverage anywhere on either course.
  • Gas stations are available along the route.
  • Camping is not included in the admission ticket and you must make your own camping reservations (see below for camping areas).
  • AMA membership is required; make sure you have your AMA # ready BEFORE you start your online registration. (click here to join the AMA).
  • All bikes must be street legal, registered, and have a spark arrestor.
  • Online registration only.
  • No refunds.
